Update on Ohio State offensive lineman Justin Frye's progress during fall camp

Ohio State's offensive line has been a topic of conversation for nearly two years. Before the 2023 season, the offensive line was a question mark that was never fully answered. Although the group improved throughout the year, the coaching staff still felt the need to make changes before the Buckeyes' Cotton Bowl game against Missouri.

Although the Scarlet and Gray returned four regular players, they entered the offseason with similar questions. Ohio State added Alabama's Seth McLaughlin from the transfer portal to help, but still had vacancies at the center and right guard positions throughout the offseason. There were also concerns about Josh Fryarwho started as a right tackle in 2002 but had his difficulties.

The offensive line is expected to improve, simply because of the experience of the group. While the center and right guard positions are still up for grabs, it looks like McLaughlin will start at center and Tegra Tabola is the favorite for the position of right starting guard.
