MCSO arrests 4 people for drug offenses

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has arrested four people this month during a drug investigation in which narcotics and weapons were discovered.

On Tuesday, MCSO Narcotics Agents arrested Willie James Robinson Jr., 36, of Theodore, and Tiara Shanquel Davis, 31, of Mobile, while executing warrants at a home in the 7200 block of Elmo Avenue in Theodore. The warrants were issued as part of an ongoing investigation that began earlier this month.

The two were taken into custody when officers executed warrants at a home in the 7200 block of Elmo Avenue in Theodore.

Robinson had warrants for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Davis had warrants for first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the search on Tuesday, officers said they found and confiscated several items, including 30 grams of ice, 10 Adderall pills, 2 grams of marijuana, 5 grams of spice, 1 Xanax pill, a loaded 9 mm pistol and ammunition.

Both Robinson and Davis face new charges, including:

  • Methamphetamine trafficking
  • Certain persons are prohibited from possessing a firearm
  • Possession of controlled substances
  • Possession of marijuana 1.
  • Manipulation of physical evidence
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

In a previous raid, MCSO arrested two men on August 13 after receiving a tip about a known drug dealer who was at a location to sell his drugs.

According to the sheriff's office, detectives seized more than 100 fentanyl pills and a gun.

Travis Lofton, 42, of Mobile, is charged with trafficking fentanyl. He is held on $50,000 bail and is scheduled for trial next week.

Wayne Curtis Gray Jr., 49, of Atmore, is charged with possession of a controlled substance/fentanyl.

Lofton is also charged in Baldwin County in the shooting death of the Daphne restaurant manager in June 2023.
