Alabama man shot dead by police after ‘suspicious incident’

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating after an Opelika police officer shot and killed a man last weekend. Just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning, an officer responded to a 911 call about a “suspicious incident” in the 1800 block of Century Boulevard, according to ALEA. At the scene, the officer encountered 26-year-old Tice Daequan Cobb of Auburn, who was reportedly armed.

An argument broke out between the two. Cobb was then shot by the police officer and pronounced dead at the scene.
