Family confirms death of missing military wife Mischa Johnson | Crime & Courts

Mischa Johnson's family confirmed her death and that the missing person's case is now under homicide investigation.

HONOLULU (Island News) – Mischa Johnson’s family confirmed her death and that the missing person’s case is now under homicide investigation.

Since Mischa Johnson disappeared three weeks ago, her family has been hoping and praying for a miracle.

But now they are demanding a conclusion to the matter.

“I can’t even bury my daughter,” said Mischa’s mother, Frances Tapiz-Andrian.

The military has still not officially confirmed Johnson's death, but her family took to social media to plead for help in getting justice for Mischa.

“Please don't abandon Mischa,” she said. “I beg you, I beg you. Please come out. I suffer every day.”

Army investigators are asking anyone who has had contact with her husband, Dewayne Arthur Johnson II, to come forward. He is in military custody in connection with her disappearance.

“We're specifically looking for the time frame between July 12 and August 1,” said Army investigator Ruben Santiago. “And, you know, we're interested in where PFC Johnson might have gone, who he might have spoken to, any activities that we can fit into those time frames.”

Johnson was six months pregnant and would become a first-time mother to a girl she had already named Armani.

“I am on my hands and knees because that is all I can do,” Tapiz-Andrian said.
