Employee of a California school for the deaf accused of sexual assault

A teaching assistant at a Bay Area school for the deaf is accused of sexually abusing several children who attended the school, according to Fremont police. Officials said 25-year-old Brandon Duran was arrested Thursday after several juvenile victims came forward. Fremont police said the victims were students at the California School for the Deaf, where Duran worked as a teaching assistant. Police said Duran is connected to at least three separate incidents that occurred between July 4 and July 19 at various locations in Fremont and Livermore. Duran was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail on five separate charges related to illicit sexual conduct with a minor. Detectives are looking for additional potential victims who may have had contact with Duran. According to Fremont police, the victims were students at the California School for the Deaf, where Duran worked as a teaching assistant.

The police department said Duran is linked to at least three separate incidents that occurred between July 4 and July 19 at various locations in Fremont and Livermore.

Duran was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail on five different charges related to illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
