iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus camera specifications (expected)

According to Apple Insider, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus could keep the same rear cameras. The main lens could have 1x and 2x zoom, and the ultra-wide lens could come with 0.5x zoom. The rear camera module could be vertically aligned, a departure from the diagonal arrangement on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

The report also speculates that the camera arrangement could remain unchanged until 2026. It could offer a 48MP rear with 2x optical zoom. The ultra-wide-angle sensor could get a faster aperture to improve low-light performance. For the first time, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro could offer macro photography.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max camera specs (expected)

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may get the same 48MP primary lens with 2x optical zoom. Unlike the iPhone 15 Pro's 3x sensor, both models may have a 12MP 5x telephoto lens this time. The ultra-wide-angle sensor could reach 48MP this year. This sensor may use pixel binning technology and could have the ability to capture 48MP ProRaw images.
