Ocala man arrested after filming young girls at Walmart

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – An Ocala man was arrested after he was caught filming young girls at Walmart in early August.

Officers arrested 32-year-old Joshua Gaines after being called to the Walmart at 2600 Southwest 19th Avenue Road on August 9.

Surveillance footage showed Gaines pretending to go shopping and using a hidden camera to record videos of children.

Gaines has been banned from Walmart since August 2023 for secretly filming young girls.

Officers found a Go-Pro and two cell phones on Gaines. OPD obtained a search warrant and found hundreds of images of child pornography on the devices.

Gaines faces ten counts of digital voyeurism and 403 counts of possession of child pornography.
