Chillicothe Police: Daily Incident Report August 22, 2024

CHILLICOT, Ohio — Chillicothe Police Department officers were involved in several calls on August 22, 2024. Here is a snapshot of those calls.

A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of Jackson Ave. and Douglas Ave.

03:09 – Driving while suspended (DUS) – FRA & suspension after random check (PD-P2404646)
A traffic stop was conducted on N Bridge St.

03:31 am – Theft without consent (PD-P2404647)
While on patrol on Douglas Avenue, contact was made with a citizen and a report of theft was taken.

05:55 AM – Expired License Plate/Validation Sticker (PD-P2404648)
A ticket was issued on Laurel Street for expired license plates.

07:29 a.m. – Driving despite OVI ban; driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license (PD-P2404649)
A traffic stop was conducted on Enderlin Circle near the municipal swimming pool.

09:28 am – Speeding (PD-P2404650)
41 people were caught speeding in a 25 mph zone on W Water St.

09:42 am – Speeding (PD-P2404652)
A traffic stop was conducted on W Main St. due to speeding.

09:49 am – Speeding (PD-P2404651)
41 people were caught speeding in a 25 mph zone on E Water St.

10:22 am – Accident report (PD-P2404663)
An accident report was filed for E Water St.

10:27 am – Motor vehicle theft (PD-P2404654)
A car theft was reported at Mary Lou Patton Park on South Renick Ave. The investigation is ongoing.

11:18 a.m. – Trespassing (PD-P2404655)
A report of trespassing was filed on Jefferson Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

12:25 pm – Arrest warrant (PD-P2404656)
An arrest warrant was issued on N Bridge St.

12:50 pm – Arrest warrant (PD-P2404657)
An arrest warrant was served for 1049 Columbus St., Apt. 206.

13:26 – Arrest warrant (PD-P2404658)
An arrest warrant was served for East Main Street.

2:00 p.m. – Disturbance of the peace (PD-P2404659)
A domestic dispute was reported on South Mulberry Street. The investigation is ongoing.

2:30 p.m. – Arrest based on an arrest warrant (PD-P2404660)
An arrest warrant has been issued for N Paint St. The investigation is ongoing.

3:09 p.m. – Theft without consent (PD-P2404661)
A theft was reported at 104 E Main St. The investigation is ongoing.

3:28 p.m. – Driving despite OVI ban (PD-P2404662)
An accident with no injuries was reported on Belleview Ave.

16:23 – Theft without consent (PD-P2404663)
A theft was reported at 85 River Trace Ln. The investigation is ongoing.

19:42 – Arrest warrant (PD-P2404664)
A warrant was issued at a homeless encampment behind Litter Propane on Eastern Avenue. The suspect, Shanna Cantrell, was taken into custody and transported to the Ross County Jail.

20:25 – Traffic control (PD-P2404665)
A motorist was stopped for driving in marked lanes on N Bridge St near E Main St. The investigation is ongoing.

21:05 – Traffic control (PD-P2404666)
A traffic stop was conducted on N Bridge St.

21:44 – Driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license; arrest warrant (PD-P2404667)
A traffic stop was initiated on E Main St for a vehicle with an invalid license. The driver, Brandi Curtis, had several warrants for her arrest and was taken into custody.
