Washington man charged with brutal murder of his Capitol Heights girlfriend

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Maryland. – The Prince George's County Police Department Homicide Unit has charged a suspect in connection with the murder of his girlfriend. The suspect is 65-year-old William Snipes of Washington, DC. He is charged with the murder of 60-year-old Sharon Moore of Capitol Heights.

The victim was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries on June 29, 2024, and died on July 2, 2024. On August 16, 2024, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Moore's cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma and the manner of death was a homicide. The Fugitive Unit tracked down and arrested Snipes this morning.

He is accused of premeditated murder and is in prison custody.
