Owensboro man arrested after cops find 'large bags' of meth in her home

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) – A 36-year-old Owensboro man was arrested Thursday morning in connection with a drug investigation.

At around 9:30 a.m., Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant on a home in the 300 block of Maple Avenue.

Police said they found large bags of suspected methamphetamine, counterfeit Percocet pills (suspected fentanyl), synthetic marijuana, marijuana, ammunition, scales and various forms of drug paraphernalia.

Jamal D. Huggins was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substances 1st Degree, 2nd Offense – Methamphetamine (more than 2 grams)
  • Trafficking in controlled substances of the 1st degree (fentanyl)
  • Trafficking in synthetic drugs 1st degree
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Huggins is being held in the Daviess County Jail on $50,000 bail.
