2 people arrested after stabbing in Dillon County

DILLON COUNTY, SC (WPDE) — On Thursday evening, Lake View Police responded to a reported stabbing. The victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle when an ambulance arrived.

According to officials, officers made contact with the victim, who suffered a stab wound to the left side.

The victim was taken to McLeod Hospital in Florence and treated for stab wounds and was later released.

The suspect, Kentell Cribb, was arrested and taken to the Dillon County Detention Center. He was charged with public disturbance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault while under the influence of drugs and aggravated battery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Smith said Brad Cribb, a family member involved in the incident, was arrested Friday morning for admitting to touching his nephew.

Smith said Cribb is charged with third-degree assault.

Both men are awaiting bail at the Dillon County Detention Center.
