Get inspired by this year’s San Francisco Fall Show – Marin Independent Journal

Fall is just around the corner and with it the prestigious San Francisco Fall Show, which will take place from October 17 to 20 at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.

In its 42nd year, the sophisticated contrast of black and white tones is celebrated, which continues in the chic offerings of more than 40 retailers from around the world.

Marin designer Suzanne Tucker of Tucker & Marks celebrates her 10-year anniversary as show chairwoman, and honorary chairwomen are designers Aerin Lauder and Wes Gordon.

The chic show, its four designer-style vignettes in the Great Hall and the gala dinner are all wonderful, but so are the thought-provoking lectures from a select group of stylish trendsetters.

“The 2024 San Francisco Fall Show will feature an outstanding series of talks and book signings featuring some of the most prominent names in art, antiques, design, architecture and history,” says Tucker. “This year's series will bring new voices and fresh perspectives and aims to inspire, enliven and enrich our show. It is a must-attend event for anyone interested in learning about collecting, design, craft and connoisseurship.”

Tickets for the talks are $22.79 and are available in addition to the show ticket. Following each talk there will be book signings for many of the guest speakers.

They sell out quickly, so if you're interested, please sign up soon.

This year’s presentations include:

• Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, daughter of the 11th Duke of Marlborough, whose family seat is the fabulous Blenheim Palace in England, will join two other celebrated English-born designers – Veere Grenney and Martyn Lawrence Bullard – in a panel discussion on the English heritage in European decorative arts.
