HANCOCK CO., Miss. (WLOX) – On Friday, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) announced that its officers executed four search warrants against five people in three counties this past weekend.

Evidence seized during search warrants in Hancock, Kemper and Scott counties included 10 white-tailed deer, 83 turkeys, 11 firearms and controlled substances including meth, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.

Two of the five suspects were charged with drug possession. Investigations into wildlife violations are ongoing. All were natural resource violators, ranging from overfishing and failure to report wild turkeys to overharvesting white-tailed deer.
