The court also approved a motion by the Boone County District Attorney's Office to detain Lee and house him in the Boone County Jail.

The charges against Lee stem from an accident on August 3. Investigators say Lee was driving a truck on Poplar Grove Road with Jazlyn Davidson of Machesney Park when they left the road and rolled several times. Davidson was ejected from the vehicle and died of her injuries at the hospital.

Officials with the Boone County Sheriff's Office believe Lee was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

A fundraiser has been launched to help Davidson's family cover funeral expenses.
