Two-vehicle accident on Louisiana Highway 480 north of Campti

CAMPTI, Louisiana (CALF) – According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Louisiana Highway 480 north of Campti.

According to NPSO, the accident occurred around 2:19 p.m. near the International Paper-Campti Mill.

According to NPSO, a car driven by a 36-year-old Coushatta man was traveling eastbound on Louisiana Highway 480. At the same time, a Mack truck hauling chips was traveling westbound. For reasons still under investigation by Louisiana State Police, the car crossed the center line and struck the Mack truck.

The Coushatta man was taken from the scene of the accident by ambulance to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

At 4:03 p.m., units were still on site, investigating the accident and directing traffic while the wreckage was cleared.

Louisiana State Police Troop-E Alexandria are working at the scene.
