Standoff at Quail Run Apartments ends without injuries

CASPER, Wyoming – An armed standoff between local police and a person at the Quail Run Apartments ended peacefully Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Thursday when police responded to a report of a person having suicidal thoughts, according to a news release from the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.

At around 4:35 p.m., NCSO spokesperson Kiera Hett told Oil City News that the situation had been resolved peacefully with no injuries. Evacuees from the area are now allowed to return, Hett added.

Agencies responding to the emergency included the Casper, Mills and Evansville police departments, the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, Banner-Wyoming Medical Center, and the Casper Fire and EMS departments.
