Two people arrested after attack with metal objects in Thompson – NBC Connecticut

Two people were arrested in connection with an attack involving metal objects in Thompson, state police said.

According to the police, it happened on May 1st shortly after 7:30 p.m. Two men are said to have attacked a person with metal objects and fled.

One of the men was arrested on July 29 and the other was taken into custody on Friday morning.

In an arrest warrant, police said one of the men took a metal grill grate and struck the person ten times, causing numerous injuries.

The victim told police: “I tried to block the blows with my arms, forearms and hands… I tried to get away, but he continued to attack me with the metal object and hit me,” the report said.

Witnesses told police that the argument may have been due to infidelity in a relationship.

Both men are facing charges of breach of the peace and conspiracy to commit assault. One of the men is also charged with assault on an elderly person, according to police.

The investigation is still ongoing.
