Suspect Wanted by Kansas Law Enforcement Arrested in Falls | Crime

On Friday morning, a man was arrested in Niagara Falls by officers from the Lawrence Police Department in the state of Kansas with the assistance of the city police.

Detectives from the Falls Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and officers from the Warrant Division entered a home at 815 17th Street around 9 a.m. Friday and arrested a male resident. The man could not initially be identified by name.

Law enforcement sources told the Gazette that the suspect in custody is the subject of an interstate investigation into possible sex trafficking of minors in the state of Kansas. The suspect has been identified as a Level 3 sex offender in the state of New York.

The suspect reportedly has a Kansas State warrant out for his arrest and is scheduled to appear in Niagara County District Court on Monday morning.
