Slidell Police Arrest Drug Dealers in Joint Operation

Slidell police arrest suspected drug dealer in joint operation

A BIG, BIG MAN AND A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING OUT THERE, LIKE A BIG BROTHER TO ME. WHEN WE LOOK AT YOUR WDSU. FIRST WARNING – WEATHER FORECAST. THE HYATT REGENCY CAMERA BEHIND ME IS SHOWING THE SAINTS FORECAST WE HAVE IN MIND FOR SUNDAY. I'LL GET OVER THAT. BUT FIRST WE'LL GO TO WDSU. FIRST WARNING – WEATHER. THE DOPPLER RADAR IS SHOWING WE HAVE A FEW RAINS IN THE SOUTH. ALSO OVER THE NORTH COAST WE'RE TRYING TO DEVELOP A FEW RAINS. BUT WHICH TEMPERATURE FORECAST IS MORE LIKELY AND WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. SO WITH THAT I'LL START WITH THE TEMPERATURES. THE LOW TEMPERATURES TODAY: FIRST ANOTHER 69 IN BOGALUSA. BUT LOOK AT ALL THE 70S, 72, GALLIANO 73. BELLE CHASE 71. IN HAMMOND, GULFPORT, BILOXI 7675. AND EVEN KENNER WAS AT 74 AT LOUIS ARMSTRONG INTERNATIONAL, THE HIGHS TODAY. LOOK AT THE 80S FOR BELLE CHASSE, GALLIANO AND GRAND ISLE. 91 LAKEFRONT, BUT 94. IN BOGALUSA. THE RESULT: IT WAS A LITTLE COOLER IN THE SOUTH, JUST AROUND 90 AS WE DROVE INTO NEW ORLEANS, AND NORTH OF THAT IT WAS IN THE MID-90S. WE'LL STAY THAT WAY FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. REAL-TIME TEMPERATURES ALREADY 89, OFFICIALLY 90 AT THE LAKE. THE HUMIDITY YOU FELT HAS RISEN AGAIN, EVEN AT THE DEW POINT OF 67 AT THE AIRPORT. SO A LITTLE HEAT INDEX. LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURE TREND. WILL STAY JUST AT 92 INTO NEXT WEEK. AND THERE WILL BE SOME CHANCES OF RAIN IN THE MIX. TOMORROW MAYBE THE LESS CHANCE OF RAIN, BUT FROM THEN ON, EXPECT SOME SPOTATED RAIN AND POSSIBLY A THUNDERSTORM ALMOST EVERY DAY. THIS SYSTEM, WHICH IS A FEW MILES HIGH IN THE SKY, IS MOVING NORTH, SO THE SYSTEMS CAN MOVE DUE TO A KIND OF TROPICAL ENERGY IN NATURE, EAST TO WEST IN SOME OF THESE. BUT THIS WILL BRING US THE MOST LIKELY CHANCES OF RAIN. THE INFLUENCE ON THE EASTERN SIDE OF A LOW PRESSURE AREA COULD BRING US MORE OF THOSE STORMS AND RAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR SUNDAY AS WELL. HERE IS WDSU'S FIRST ALERT WEATHER. DOPPLER RADAR AND I HAVE PREVIOUSLY SHOWED THAT WE HAVE A FEW SMALL TOWERS DEVELOPING, AND I WANT TO GO TO THE NORTH COAST BECAUSE WE'RE DEVELOPING THE SOUTH COAST JUST OFF COAST. BUT HERE ARE THE RECENT, SUSTAINED RAINS THAT HAVE BEEN HITTING CENTRAL PARTS OF TANGIPAHOA PARISHES. SO INDEPENDENCE AND TICKFAW, YOU MAY GET A SHORT DROPS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF TICKFAW, RIGHT? MAYBE AS FAR AS INDEPENDENCE. AND I SAW A LITTLE RAIN AND A TOWER GOING UP WITH OUR DOPPLER RADAR. A FEW DROPS APPEAR TO BE FROM MANDEVILLE. THAT COULD BE TO MADISONVILLE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. THAT'S ABOUT THE ONLY RAIN I'VE HAD. AND THAT'S ABOUT THE BIGGEST RAIN. YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE VERY LITTLE RAIN IN RELATION TO WHAT YOU'VE GOT OVER THE NORTH SHORE OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, UNFORTUNATELY. SO LOW TEMPERATURES TOMORROW. WE'RE ALL ABOVE 68°F, ABOUT 69°F OR SO. NORTH SHORE, AVERAGE 69°F, SOUTH SHORE TO ABOUT 70°F IN THE MORNING ON THE LAKE. WELL, THERE'S SOME RAIN FORECAST, WITH 69°F GETTING INTO THE 75°F HERE IN NEW ORLEANS. LET ME SHOW YOU. HERE'S A LOOK AT THE SPOKEN SHOWERS POSSIBLE IN THE MORNING HOURS. MORE OF THEM ALONG THE COAST. AND YOU CAN LOOK NORTH. I'M NOT EXPECTING MUCH. TEMPERATURE wise, JUST LIKE TODAY, AROUND 80S ON THE COAST, AROUND 90, 91, 92, IN THE NEW ORLEANS CORRIDOR, MID 90S IN THE HOTTEST PLACES IN THE NORTH AND THAT'S THE LOWER HUMIDITY, MORE HUMIDITY. THE SOUTH IS ALSO REFLECTING THAT CHANCE OF RAIN THROUGH SUNDAY. HOWEVER, THIS COULD BE THE MOST LIKELY RAIN CHANCE ON THE NORTH SHORE. COMMON RAIN, POSSIBLY SOME HEAVY RAIN SIGNIFICANT BY 9 AM SUNDAY, AND THEN MORE RAIN AND A POSSIBLE STORM. EVEN ON THE NORTH SHORE AS WE GET INTO THE EVENING HOURS. So, the bottom line: Not only is Sunday the most likely rainy day on the North Shore on Sunday and the rest of the week, but the Coast will also see rain for the next seven days. Here on the I-10/I-12 corridor, it's hit or miss. The farther north you go, the less likely. Highs through Sunday at around 32 degrees. It'll be 27 degrees in the south and more like 35 in the north. And humidity will increase for everyone. That's not counting the showers you'll have to sit through. And for the Saints, when you drive to the last preseason game in about 32 degrees. Bring rain gear just in case. HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTH ALLOWS THESE SYSTEMS TO MOVE SOUTH. IN ONE PLACE THERE'S THE IMAGE I SHOWED YESTERDAY OF TROPICAL ENERGY THAT MAY BE MOVING IN OUR DIRECTION TODAY, PUSHING IT SIGNIFICANTLY SOUTH OF US, BUT OTHER FORECASTS MAINTAIN THE LIKELIHOOD OF WE'LL GET THAT SMALL WAVE CLOSER TO US. THE RAIN IS LIKELY TO BE MOST ON THE SOUTHERN COAST, BUT THE TEMPERATURES ARE REALLY NOT THAT BAD. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WILL BE NO LOSS OF MOISTURE ANYTIME. BUT SOME OF THE GOOD NEWS FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER OFFICIALLY: NOTHING HAPPENING FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. SO ONLY A SMALL CHANCE OF RAIN. NEW ORLEANS TOMORROW. LIKELY CHANCE THAT GOES INTO SUNDAY AND THEN RAIN AT THE SAME TIME
