Baton Rouge man arrested for threatening bus driver

AND SAINTS FORECAST IN A FEW MINUTES. ALL OK. SURPRISED AT THE BUS STOP. A SCHOOL BUS DRIVER WAS THREATENED AND HARASSED WHILE PICKING UP CHILDREN ON THE BUS DURING THE MORNING. BATON ROUGE POLICE SAID A 67-YEAR-OLD MAN IN ARMOR THREATENED TO SHOOT THE BUS AND SHOOT THE BUS DRIVER FOR WHAT HE SAID WAS A TRAFFIC VIOLATION. POLICE SAY DWAYNE LANDRY WAS PACKED WITH WEAPONS, WITH THREE GUNS ON HIS FRONT, A REVOLVER ON HIS HIP, A PISTOL ON HIS THIGH, A KNIFE, A MACHETE BLADE AND BEAR SPRAY IN CUFFS. LANDRY SAID HE WAS IN CHARGE OF THE HOUSING DEPARTMENT ON NORTH LEIGHTON DRIVE AND WANTED THE DRIVER TO LEAVE. He also attempted to force his way onto the bus, according to police.

A Baton Rouge man was arrested after being accused of threatening and harassing a school bus driver and his parents as they dropped off students Friday morning. According to our NBC partner in Baton Rouge, BRProud, Duane Landry, a 67-year-old man in armor, threatened to shoot the bus driver after Landry told the driver she couldn't block the intersection with the bus. According to Baton Rouge police, Landry was carrying three rifles on his front, a revolver on his hip, a pistol on his thigh, a knife, a machete, bear spray and handcuffs. Landry also stated he was a commissioner for the North Leighton Drive settlement and wanted the driver to go away. According to BRPD, he tried to force his way onto the bus with students inside.
