Ready to dominate Tabatha Ricci at UFC Fight Night!

Black Belt Plus

Veteran UFC strawweight Angela Hill will step into the Octagon for the 26th time this Saturday, taking on Tabatha Ricci at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Borralho. At 39 years old, Hill is proving that age is just a number. She shows no signs of slowing down, peaking nearly a decade after her UFC debut.

Despite being labeled a gatekeeper, Hill is rewriting history. “I may be Holly Holm when it comes to the oldest lady in the UFC,” she joked, but with four wins in her last five fights, including victories over two top-15 opponents, Hill is far from done.

Hill attributes her recent resurgence to her training at Alliance MMA, where she has been kept in shape by a variety of female training partners and experienced coaches. “Iron sharpens iron,” she says, and Hill's increased confidence and aggressive approach in the gym have translated into better performances in the Octagon.

As she prepares for her co-main event fight against Ricci, Hill is focusing on a more offensive strategy, targeting her opponent's weaknesses rather than simply avoiding grappling. This change in mindset paid off, as Hill secured her first win in four years by submitting Luana Pinheiro via guillotine choke.

Ahead of Saturday's fight, Hill is determined to bring the same energy. “Orcas are the number one killer of baby sharks and I wanted to bring that vibe into this fight week,” she said, signaling her intention to dominate Ricci in the Octagon.
