New Hampshire driver arrested after collision with state police patrol car, authorities say

A New Hampshire woman was arrested after she allegedly eluded police and collided with a state police patrol car. New Hampshire State Police said patrol officers responded to the County Road area in Haverhill on Wednesday to help police search for the driver of a Hyundai Elantra who failed to stop. State Police said a patrol officer turned on his hazard lights and pursued the driver, later identified as Abigail Ordway, 38, of Littleton. Authorities said Ordway skidded in the north and south lanes before colliding with the patrol officer's patrol car. State Police said the patrol officer was not injured. State Police said Ordway subsequently attempted to flee the scene of the accident but eventually became stuck in a ditch. Ordway was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, driving as a habitual offender and malicious damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, aggravated driving while intoxicated, attempted eluding police, conduct after an accident and disobeying an officer. Authorities said Ordway was held in preventive custody following her arraignment Thursday. New Hampshire State Police said patrol officers responded to the County Road area in Haverhill on Wednesday to assist police in locating the driver of a Hyundai Elantra who failed to stop.

State police said a trooper turned on his hazard lights and pursued the driver, later identified as 38-year-old Abigail Ordway of Littleton.

Authorities said Ordway skidded in the northbound and southbound lanes before colliding with the trooper's patrol car. State police said the trooper was not injured.

According to state police, Ordway then attempted to flee the scene of the accident but ultimately became stuck in a ditch.

Ordway was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, driving as a habitual offender and malicious damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, aggravated driving while intoxicated, attempted eluding police, conduct after an accident and disobeying a police officer.

Authorities said Ordway was being held in preventive custody following her arraignment on Thursday.
