Green Bay woman caught with “6 pounds of meth,” gets 10 years in prison

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay drug dealer who was arrested earlier this year with about 6 pounds of meth in her hotel room has now been sentenced in federal court.

Nicole Laforge accepted a plea deal in federal court. She pleaded guilty to two charges, including possession of methamphetamine with intent to resell. She was sentenced to ten years in prison.

As we reviewed the sentencing documents, we noticed that the judge wants Laforge to attend a 500-hour drug treatment program run by the Bureau of Prison.

According to the criminal complaint she filed in federal court, she told authorities that her life revolved largely around illegal drugs and that she had already been in drug treatment here in Brown County.

In 2021, Laforge entered Brown County's Heroin Treatment Program, which aims to give addicts a second chance. During the program, she was required to complete routine drug testing, monitoring sessions, and substance abuse treatment programs.

Last August, Action 2 News was there when she completed the program.

Seven months later, in March, she was arrested by the Brown County Drug Task Force at a downtown Green Bay hotel after a controlled buy. Evidence photos show what she describes as about 6 pounds of methamphetamine, with a street value of between $46,000 and $92,000. Laforge admitted to driving to Chicago about a dozen times to pick up drugs and bring them to Wisconsin. In total, she estimates she trafficked up to 30 pounds of the drug.

After her release from prison, she will be on probation for another ten years.
