1 dead, 2 injured in crash in Enfield – NBC Connecticut

One person died and two others were injured in an accident between an SUV and a pickup truck in Enfield on Friday.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Enfield Street, north of the intersection with South Road.

According to reports, an SUV and a pickup truck were involved in the accident.

Officials said the driver of the SUV was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, later identified by police as 62-year-old Patricia Carey of Enfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to St. Francis Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.
