Fentanyl and drugs found in apartment in Hartford, Connecticut: Police

Hartford drug agents searched an apartment on Hungerford Street and another on Park Street.

Hartford police found more than 1,700 packages of fentanyl, as well as other drugs, paraphernalia and a firearm, in two apartments in the city on Friday. Three people were arrested.

Hartford drug agents searched an apartment on Hungerford Street after residents complained about drug dealing in the neighborhood.

Investigators found and seized a semi-automatic firearm, 1,710 packages of fentanyl, 81 grams of crack cocaine and 5.6 grams of powder cocaine, police said.

Police also searched a building in the 800 block of Park Street and seized narcotics packaging and more than $14,000 in cash.

Luis Colon-Perez, 37, was arrested and charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled substance.

Eduardo Ortiz, 40, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance.

Christina Evans, 27, was charged with drug possession. All three arrested are from Hartford.
