Man dies of fatal injuries in motorcycle-truck accident | News

POTOSI, Wis. – The Grant County Coroner's Office notified the Grant County Sheriff's Office Saturday that Cameron Schaefer, 22, of Dickeyville died from injuries sustained in a fatal car crash on Aug. 18.

On August 18, the sheriff's office received a report of a two-vehicle crash with serious injuries on Highway 61 at the intersection with County B. The preliminary investigation indicates that Schaefer was traveling south on his motorcycle with his passenger, Jadyn Noonan, 23, of Dickeyville, when a truck driven by Gavin L. Fishnick, 17, of Barneveld, failed to obey a stop sign. Both motorcyclists were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

The sheriff's office said the motorcycle collided with the truck, and Schaefer and Noonan were ejected from the vehicle, both suffering serious injuries. While Noonan remains in critical condition, Schaefer was pronounced dead on Saturday, August 24, from injuries he sustained in the crash. Neither Fishnick nor his teenage passenger reported injuries.
