(Freeman Promotions) Mike Tramp releases a video for “Out With the Boys”, a new single from his new album “Songs Of White Lion – Vol. II”, which will be in stores on Friday via Frontiers Music Srl. In the ten tracks of the album, TRAMP once again reinterprets selected pieces from his former band White Lion.

Tramp said of the album: “Would Leonardo Da Vinci have repainted the Mona Lisa if he had been given a second chance? We will never know, but I can say with certainty that I am overjoyed to have been given a second chance to re-record and sing the songs I wrote between 1983 and 1990.”

“Today I know much better than in my twenties how I want to express the songs with my voice. That's just a fact and I took the chance. 'Songs Of White Lion' is a whole new chapter, it's actually current.”

Tramp rose to prominence in the music world with White Lion, which was formed in 1983. After signing with Atlantic Records, the band enjoyed great success with their second album, Pride, in 1987, which included the hits “Wait” and “When the Children Cry.” The band's third album, Big Game (1991), and fourth album, Mane Attraction (1992), continued the band's streak of success, but White Lion ultimately disbanded in 1992.

After White Lion, Tramp formed the hard rock band Freak Of Nature, which had a decidedly darker and heavier mood than White Lion. Freak Of Nature released three studio albums before disbanding in 1996. In 1998, Tramp launched his solo career with the album “Capricorn”; his second solo album “Recovering The Wasted Years” was released in 2002. Tramp then took a break from his solo career from 2004 to 2008 to tour and record under the name Mike Tramp's White Lion and finally under the name White Lion, releasing the album “Return Of The Pride” in 2008.

Tramp has been writing and recording as a solo artist since 2009 and has released nine studio albums, including his latest, 2022's Forste Gang. He's also constantly touring, both as an acoustic solo artist and with a backing band, and has no plans to slow down any time soon.
