Texas Rangers arrest man wanted for 2023 murder in Seminole County

A man wanted in connection with the 2023 murder of a Seminole man was arrested by Texas Rangers in Houston on Friday. Get the latest interesting news by clicking here. Seminole County District Attorney Erik Johnson announced the arrest Saturday afternoon. The suspect is accused of killing Jacob Washington in May 2023. Washington, who disappeared on May 12, 2023, was later found on May 17, 2023 “in an advanced state of decomposition” in an oil field near Seminole, a news release said.>> Download the KOCO 5 app”This investigation has continued relentlessly since this crime was discovered and required the close cooperation of multiple law enforcement agencies,” Johnson said. He expressed his gratitude to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police, Texas Rangers and all other agencies involved for their efforts and cooperation, the release said.The suspect is currently being held in Fayette County, Texas, and will be extradited to Oklahoma to face charges in the murder.
