Floyd Mayweather Jr. returns to the ring on Saturday for a rematch of his summer 2023 exhibition fight against John Gotti III, the grandson of the notorious crime boss.

Their first fight ended in chaos when the referee abruptly stopped the fight in the sixth round and Gotti continued to throw punches at Mayweather, leading to an in-ring brawl between the two fighters' acolytes. Now, with Gotti serving a six-month suspension for his role in the chaos, they're returning south of the border for a rematch.

“The main event between Mayweather and Gotti is a real fight,” said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, at a press conference. “I've had the opportunity to spend some time with the Gottis; (John Gotti III) means business. He's here to fight. He's talking about knocking out Floyd Mayweather, while 50 and more before him have tried and nobody has been successful, so I'm very skeptical that's going to happen.”
