Police: Man killed in shooting in Vallejo on Saturday morning

VALLEJO, Calif. – A man is dead after a shooting early Saturday morning in Vallejo.

Vallejo police said officers arrived just before 1 a.m. for a shooting in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Street. When they arrived on scene, officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound. Emergency responders attempted to save the man's life, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Unit arrived at the scene and took over the investigation. It is currently unclear what led to the shooting.

According to police, this is the 16th murder in the city of Vallejo in 2024.
