Analysis by BroadBandNow shows that Internet prices have remained stable despite inflation

In this time of rampant inflation, prices are increasing for almost all products and services. But internet tariffs remain as stable as ever. A new study has found that consumers have not experienced any price increases in internet tariffs.

Analysis conducted by BroadBandNow suggests that broadband prices have remained stable since 2015, averaging $90 per month. BroadBandNow analyzed nearly 2,000 ISPs offering services via cable, fiber optic technologies, and DSL and found that these internet services were unaffected by inflation.

The price of fiber optic services fell by 40% after adjusting for inflation. This shows that fiber optic technology has arrived in many markets and now enables fast and reliable Internet connections.

BroadBandNow also noted that the Affordable Connectivity Program helped people a lot in choosing affordable monthly internet services. But now it has been terminated because Congress, which represents 23 million households in the US, stopped allocating funds. The Democratic Party said it will continue to fight for the reinstatement of the Affordable Connectivity Program in the US.

Even though the average internet price per month is $90, it is still higher as many people think that the internet price should be $60 or less. On the other hand, many consumers claim that their internet price was between $20 and $60 when they first signed up for the internet service, according to the survey by US News & World Report.
