MPD looking for 3 men after fight at gas station, police say

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (WMC) – Memphis police are searching for three men involved in an altercation at a gas station.

On August 23, officers responded to an aggravated assault at the Valero gas station on Broad Avenue.

When officers arrived, they were informed that three men had attacked a victim in the store.

According to MPD, one of the suspects attempted to purchase a beer. The suspect became angry when the victim suggested the clerk check his ID.

The suspect began to insult and threaten the victim.

Shortly after the exchange, the first suspect called out to the other two, who approached the victim and began to punch him in the chest.

The victim accompanied the suspects to the door, but while still in the doorway, one of the suspects punched the victim in the face.

After the altercation at the door of the store, the victim and one of the suspects began hitting each other; another suspect pulled out a small black handgun and began chasing the victim through the parking lot.

All three suspects jumped into a vehicle and left the scene.
