Woman dead, man in custody after shooting in St. Cloud, police say – WFTV

St. Cloud, Florida – St. Cloud police said a woman is dead and a man is in custody following a shooting in St. Cloud on Saturday.

Investigators said officers were called to Nottel Drive in the Hanover Lakes community around 6:30 p.m. after a couple's children called 911 to report an argument.

Police said the suspect barricaded himself in the house for 30 minutes after arriving and fired at officers during the standoff.

According to police, no officers were injured in the shooting.

Police said the suspect was eventually taken into custody.

Officers said they later found a woman dead in the home.

According to investigators, the children are safe.

Police said no information about the suspect had been released.
