60 dental students receive their first white coat in a special ceremony

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The class of 2028 has reached a milestone in their dental careers.

Sixty students from the Hunt School of Dental Medicine received their first white coats, which represent professionalism and compassion.

It also marks their transition from preclinical studies to clinical courses and to patient contact and care.

This is the fourth and final inaugural cohort at Texas Tech Health El Paso since the opening of the Hunt School of Dental Medicine in 2021.

During the ceremony, students took an oath acknowledging and reaffirming their promise to serve patients, promote community health, and provide quality dental health care throughout their careers.
