How to watch Alabama vs. Western Kentucky

Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN, FuboTV (Stream)
Location: Bryant-Denny Stadium – Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama remained undefeated in its season openers under Saban, reaching a perfect 17-0 record. To find the program's last 0-1 record, you have to go back to 2001, when a senior University of California Team came to Tuscaloosa.

Western Kentucky has been a popular opponent throughout the Saban era and has faced off three times. All three games were played in Tuscaloosa and were decided comfortably. The Hilltoppers have scored just 17 points in the entire series, with a shutout coming in 2012 – a year Alabama won the national championship.

Bryant-Denny Stadium will rock on Saturday night. Not only because DeBoer will be playing his very first game in this arena – the kickoff that evening will certainly create a good atmosphere and ensure an entertaining evening in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama hopes for success under Kalen DeBoer

DeBoer and his new regime have been the biggest headline story in college football this offseason, with everyone wondering what Alabama will look like without Saban. Western Kentucky isn't the best opponent to deliver results, but after months of talk, there's something to be expected on the field.

Adopting that culture was a key aspect of DeBoer's move from Saban. After watching a practice game on Saturday, he himself didn't notice any difference.

“All I can tell you is that I watched the practice game last week on Saturday and the team still has the same culture that it had when I was coach,” Saban said. “They play hard, they play with great effort, they execute well, they have good discipline. So Kalen has done a really good job.”
