Dublin murder: Man accused of shooting another man at Emerald Park Apartments arrested in Barstow

DUBLIN, Calif. (KGO) – New developments in a fatal shooting in the East Bay.

Dublin police said they had tracked down the man accused of killing another man at the Emerald Park Apartments on Friday.

They arrested him on Saturday, nearly 400 miles away in Barstow.

The shooting incident was reported shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon

When Dublin Police arrived, an adult male was found with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

While the manhunt for the suspect was underway, residents were denied access to the complex and the nearby Dougherty Elementary School was temporarily locked down.

No further information is available about the motive or the identity of the suspect. The identity of the victim is also currently being kept secret.
