Mayweather vs. Gotti III took place on August 24 at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Hall of Fame boxing champion Floyd Mayweather and MMA veteran and boxer John Gotti III faced off in an exhibition rematch that was broadcast live on pay-per-view on DAZN and PPV.com.

Round 1: Mayweather starts the fight with a quick jab and a hard right. Mayweather jumps in with another right and although Gotti is bigger, he is also much slower. Mayweather beams with another quick combination as he hops on his feet and avoids all of Gotti's counters. Mayweather repeatedly rams the left jab into Gotti's face before smashing over with another huge right.

Round 2: Mayweather uncorks a nifty left-right combination that sends Gotti's head flying back. The referee stops the action to warn against blows to the back of the head and things get heated again, both corners in the ring. And suddenly there's a new referee in the fight! The action continues and Mayweather hits Gotti with another quick combination. Gotti does land a right hand, but that's about the only punch he's really landed so far.

Round 3: Mayweather gets aggressive and starts throwing punches while Gotti is backed up against the ropes. Gotti keeps looking at the referee but Mayweather just keeps throwing punches until he finally backs away. Gotti can't really do much except chase Mayweather.

Round 4: Gotti comes out aggressive but he can't land his punches as Mayweather is just messing with him. Mayweather digs into the body and then comes back up with a huge overhand right to the head. Mayweather attacks him with the left jab and then hits the middle with a hard straight right.

Round 5: Gotti keeps trying to take Mayweather down, but he just doesn't know how to cut the ring off. Mayweather dodges slightly and then throws a combination, with Gotti ducking his head to avoid the damage. Mayweather with a good uppercut and another hard right hand behind it.

Round 6: Mayweather still shows his speed at 47 and peppers Gotti with punches. Mayweather with a nasty left to the body and then a stiff right to the top of the head. Although he's clearly winning every exchange, Mayweather seems resigned to simply embarrassing Gotti by overworking him and never allowing his opponent to give much back.

Round 7: Mayweather finally puts more power into his punches and lets Gotti back him into the ropes, but even then the inexperienced fighter can't do much. Mayweather stabs Gotti with quick punches and Gotti's only defense is to keep his head down and hope for the best. Mayweather just keeps throwing punches and then waits for Gotti to do something he rarely does.

Round 8: Mayweather pushes Gotti back with consecutive punches, perhaps trying to end this fight as best he can. Gotti finally hits back with a hard right hand to push Mayweather back. Mayweather lands another punch, but this one hits the back of the head, and Gotti complains to the referee, who separates the fighters before things get ugly. Gotti eventually fights his way forward, but Mayweather is undeterred. Mayweather with a quick counter right after Gotti gets a little too aggressive for his own good.
