23 seconds agoHouston Texans quarterback Case Keenum started the team's final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams, but was injured during the game. Keenum appeared to injure his arm while pulling through a throw. He completed 4 of 8 passes for 32 yards. He narrowly avoided an interception when he picked off a pass from wide receiver John Metchie III, who was free, before being replaced by fourth-string quarterback Tim Boyle. Boyle performed well, completing 9 of 13 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown to fullback Troy Hairston in the first half at NRG Stadium. Pro Bowl quarterback CJ Stroud did not play as he prepares for the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 8. Davis Mills has secured the backup role and is expected to be Stroud's primary replacement. While Keenum now waits to see if he or Boyle will be selected as the third-string quarterback, Keenum could have the edge due to his quasi-coaching role in developing CJ Stroud.Martin Grisko – RotoBaller
