Kenny McIntosh and George Holani finally plead for a place in the squad

And although the two have fought a tough battle, Holani says the mood in the running back room has been consistently positive.

“In the running back room, everyone cheers each other on,” he said. “No matter what happens, we're rooting for each other and we go out there, we celebrate, we talk about the celebrations we're going to have after we score. So it's a positive, great vibe in that room.”

McIntosh's 56-yard touchdown run showcased his athleticism, speed and power as he found a gap and arm-attacked a defender on his way to the end zone. Before being drafted by the Seahawks, McIntosh ran the 40-yard dash in 4.62 seconds at the NFL Combine. Some consider the 40-yard dash inconsequential, but McIntosh showed exactly why.

After McIntosh was drafted last year, he said he knew his speed was faster than what he ran at the Combine. “It looked like it today, didn't it?” McIntosh said of his speed with a laugh. “The game speed is definitely different than at the Combine.”

McIntosh celebrated his first NFL touchdown with his teammates, and most players like to keep their touchdown ball and pass it to someone important after the game. But in all the excitement, McIntosh lost his.
