UFC on ESPN 62 video: Michael Morales beats up Neil Magny and ends the fight mercifully

[autotag]Michael Morales[/autotag] passed his biggest UFC test to date in less than 5 minutes on Saturday.

On the main card of UFC on ESPN 62, Morales (17-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) finished the veteran [autotag]Neil Magny[/autotag] (29-12 MMA, 22-11 UFC) with ground-and-pound strikes at 4:39 of the first round at UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The end came after Morales forced Magny to the mat and established a dominant position. He took a tall stance and when Magny's back was turned, Morales rained down a ground-and-pound fight until referee Dan Miragliotta intervened.

Morales, 25, of Ecuador, is undefeated in his career. Other notable UFC wins ahead of Saturday's contest include Jake Matthews, Max Griffin and Trevin Giles.

Magny, 37, continues his streak of alternating wins and losses – a pattern that spans eight fights and dates back to March 2022.
