Josh Berry rolls over in horrific accident near the end of the NASCAR race in Daytona

Hendersonville's Josh Berry could have been in contention for his first career NASCAR Cup Series victory with a lap and a half to go, but his race Saturday at Daytona International Speedway ended when his car slid on its roof.

Berry and Austin Cindric collided on the backstretch while battling for the lead toward the end of the Coke Zero Sugar 400, and Berry rolled once. The car landed on its roof, hit the inside wall headfirst, and then spun like a top until it came to a stop.

Berry's car was put back on its tires shortly after the accident and he was able to climb out of his No. 4 Ford under his own power, giving the crowd a thumbs up.
