Floyd Mayweather had a special guest with him as he walked to the ring to face John Gotti III on Saturday.

The legendary boxer was accompanied by Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis when he entered the ring in Mexico.

Although Mayweather officially retired in 2017 after defeating Conor McGregor in 10 rounds, the “Best of All Time” has been active in exhibition fights and has participated in seven fights since 2018. Three of them were wins, two were no-contest and one, against Gotti in 2023, ended winless.

The last time Mayweather and Gotti met, there was plenty of drama. The fight was stopped in the sixth round after much back and forth, which led to several fights between the respective sides of the two boxers.

When it was announced that Mayweather and Gotti would face off again, anticipation for the fight grew. After the last fight ended in a draw, Saturday's fight will have a lot of implications.

Mayweather entered the ring with a lot of strength and hopes that Davis' presence will give him an advantage.
