“Sorry for hurting memories”: BTS’ SUGA releases handwritten letter after police questioning for drunk driving; read here

On August 25, BTS' SUGA took to Weverse and wrote a second letter apologizing for his drunken electric scooter accident. The rapper and producer wrote:

“I would like to apologize once again in shame.

I deeply apologize for disappointing and hurting my fans and everyone who loves me with my behavior.

I made a big mistake by forgetting my responsibility to reciprocate with my actions to be worthy of the love I received.

On the night of August 6, I made the mistake of riding an electric scooter on the sidewalk while under the influence of alcohol.

I am also sorry that my previous apology, hastily posted on August 7, caused confusion. I should have been more attentive and careful.

It's my fault that I make life difficult for everyone who loves me.

I will do my best to never commit wrong again and to live a life full of repentance.

Through this incident, I have greatly damaged the precious memories I created with the BTS members and tainted the band's name.

I am sorry and painful because it causes harm to the members.

I apologize to the members who have always trusted me and are now going through a difficult time.

The fans must have been disappointed in me too. I am well aware of that.

I feel sorry for the fans who have always shown me immense love.

I know it is difficult to heal the wounds and disappointment of the fans with words, so I deeply regret it and think about it every day with a heavy heart.

I would like to once again sincerely apologize to the fans who were hurt by me.

Finally, I would like to sincerely apologize for causing upset and disappointing many people.'
