Kansas City police are investigating the death of a man found shot in a car as a homicide

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KCTV) – On Sunday, Kansas City police responded to a homicide near Waldo in the Rolling Hills neighborhood.

According to KCPD, officers were called to the 8200 block of Kenwood at around 1:47 a.m. on August 25 for a report of firearms.

When officers arrived, they began searching for victims or a crime scene and found a man who appeared to have been shot in his car in the 8200 block of Holmes. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The man's death is being investigated as a homicide. Police currently have no suspect in custody and are seeking further information or witnesses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit directly at 816-234-5043 or anonymously to the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS Hotline.
