New Hampshire man arrested after car crash in Bernardston

BERNARDSTON, Massachusetts (WGGB/WSHM) — A New Hampshire native was arrested at the scene of a serious two-car crash Friday afternoon.

According to Bernardston Police, officers responded to the scene at Route 10 and Turners Falls Road at around 3:22 p.m. for a report of a car crash.

However, no injuries were reported in the accident.

Officers identified one of the drivers involved in the crash as a 42-year-old man from Dublin, New Hampshire, who was arrested for possessing a firearm, ammunition and an unspecified “Class B drug” at the time of the incident.

He is accused of the following:

  • Operating with a suspended license
  • Driving an uninsured motor vehicle
  • Careless stopping/starting/turning
  • Carrying loaded firearms without a permit
  • Do you have ammunition without FID
  • Carry a dangerous weapon
  • Possession of a Class B drug
