Chicago police search for driver after fatal hit-and-run crash near Museum Campus

Chicago police are searching for the driver of a white sedan after a fatal hit-and-run crash near the Museum Campus.

Chicago police are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash near South Loop earlier this month.

The accident occurred on August 10 at approximately 4:11 a.m. in the 1300 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

A silver SUV traveling north struck a pedestrian. The driver of the SUV stopped and waited for police. Shortly thereafter, the victim was struck a second time by a white sedan. The driver of the sedan fled the scene.

The pedestrian, whose identity was not disclosed, was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to police, the sedan had four doors and a sunroof and was possibly a Lincoln Continental (model year 2017-2020).
