Kennedy's daughter-in-law, aka his campaign manager, can't get donation from hard-nosed Democratic billionaire parents (Exclusive)

The family of Robert Kennedy Jr.'s campaign manager would have been a great source of money for the candidate who relies on conspiracy theories.

Campaign manager Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, also married to Kennedy's son Robert III, is a former CIA agent and author of a book about her adventures in the organization.

You'd think she could convince her mom and stepdad to chip in a few bucks. That would be an obvious request, since Amaryllis' stepdad is billionaire Steven Rales.

Rales is reportedly worth $8.6 billion. He is the chairman of the Danaher Corporation, which he founded with his brother Mitchell. In the entertainment field, Rales also founded the film production company Indian Paintbrush, which has been releasing high-quality films such as all of Wes Anderson's films since 2007. He recently purchased Janus Films and the Criterion Collection.

But here's the problem: Rales is also a diehard Democratic donor. Kennedy is the last person he gave a political donation to, and he gave a lot. Recipients of his largesse include Maine Democratic Senator Angus King, the Ohio Democratic Party, and Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, who lost his Senate seat to JD Vance.

Amaryllis' mother, Lalage Rales, is also an active Democratic donor. She has donated to Virginia Senator Mark Warner, the America 2.0 PAC for Democrats, Tim Ryan and several others. Both Raleses donated to Liz Cheney, one of Trump's most vocal critics.

The Raleses sound pretty smart and principled. Thank goodness they're not Republicans, then Kennedy would still be running for president. If he becomes Trump's running mate, don't expect Kennedy to use that source.
