Badlapur case: SIT questions accused's family again | Mumbai News

Kalyan: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) Investigation of Badlapur sexual abuse Case on Sunday interviewed the parents and little brother of the suspicious for the second time and visited his house to collect further evidence.

An official associated with the SIT said, “Our SIT chief, Aarti Singh, has asked for as much evidence as possible and as soon as possible so that the case can be expedited and justice can be done quickly. That is why different teams are working on different things throughout the day.”
According to sources, the five-day police custody of the accused will end on Monday and hence the SIT will produce him before a special Pocso court in Kalyan where it may seek an extension of his custody.
Repairs were carried out on Sunday at the school, which was vandalized by a mob on August 20, so classes can resume on Monday. Classes for grades 5 to 12 resumed on Saturday.
