Houston Texans DB out for rest of season after injury against Los Angeles Rams

For Houston Texans defensive back Brandon Hill, the season is over before it even began.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Hill will be out for the rest of the year after suffering a knee injury in yesterday's final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Hill, who turns 24 next week, had to be escorted to the locker room by trainers during the first half of the 17-15 win over the Rams on Saturday.

He was selected in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Texans out of Pitt and played in two games for the team last season.

He had a solid training camp and played a big role in his team's early preseason win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but now he won't be on the field for the Texans this season.

The Texans need to trim their roster to 53 players before the 3 p.m. CT deadline on Tuesday, and with Hill out of the running, a spot could open up for a defensive back.
