Montpelier police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing incident

Montpelier police are searching for a person who slashed someone in the face with a knife around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night in the heart of the capital city. Police say they received several 911 calls about a fight near City Hall involving several people. The injured man was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries and released. Officers are still searching for the attacker, but another person involved in the incident has been arrested and is being held for the time being. MONTPELIER, Vermont —

Montpelier police are searching for a person who slashed a person in the face with a knife in the heart of the capital on Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m.

Police said they received several 911 calls about a fight near City Hall involving multiple people. The injured man was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Officers are still searching for the attacker, but another person involved in the incident has been arrested and is being held for the time being.
